Ardkinglas Woodland Garden
Situated only two miles from the TREE SHOP is the Ardkinglas Woodland Garden, where you will see one of the finest collections of conifers and rhododendrons in the British isles. The collection includes one of the tallest trees in Britain, a Grand Fir (Abies grandis), measured at over 202 feet and the "Mightiest Conifer in Europe" a Silver Fir (Abies alba) with a girth in excess of 32 feet.
The Garden is a blaze of colour in the Spring and Summer with splendid rhododendrons and many, newly introduced shrubs and trees. The Autumn colours in the Garden are also worth seeing, with the glorious reds, yellows and oranges looking at their finest. Many of the plants that you see growing there you will find for sale here at the TREE SHOP.
A remarkable multi-stemmed conifer is perhaps the oldest and best loved tree in the Garden, it is thought to be in excess of 250 years old.
